Accessibility
We want every guest to be able to find our menu, hours and events, reserve a table and reach us, however they use the web.
What we've done
- We aim for the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA. Every page is checked against those guidelines at desktop and phone sizes.
- The whole site works with a keyboard, starting with a "Skip to main content" link, and you can always see where you are on the page.
- Pages are built for screen readers: clear headings and page regions, labeled buttons and form fields, text descriptions on photos, and form errors that are announced.
- The full menu is written out as text with prices, so it can be read aloud, enlarged or translated. The PDF menus are optional extras.
- The video at the top of the homepage has no sound or speech. It has a pause button, and it stays still if your device is set to reduce motion.
- You never need to make a phone call. Reservations, event inquiries, job applications and questions all work online or by email.
- Text and buttons meet contrast guidelines, and pages reflow to a narrow column when zoomed in, with no sideways scrolling.
Services run by other companies
Reservations open on OpenTable, online orders on Uber Eats, and our video plays from Vimeo. Those services are responsible for their own accessibility. If one of them gives you trouble, contact us and we'll help you book or order directly.
Tell us if something doesn't work
If any part of this site is hard to use, we want to fix it. Email [email protected] or call (718) 722-0222. Tell us the page and what happened, and we'll get back to you, and help with whatever you were trying to do in the meantime.
