Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Mera Kitchen & Bar (Mera Restaurant) collects through this website, why we collect it and what you can ask us to do with it. We keep it short and only collect what we need to answer you.

What we collect and why

You can browse the whole site without telling us anything. We only receive personal information when you choose to send it through one of the forms below.

Private event inquiries

When you ask about a private event, we collect your name, email, phone number (optional), the date you have in mind, roughly how many guests, the occasion and your message. We save it in our website database, email it to our events team, and add you to our customer system (GoHighLevel) so we can reply, plan and follow up with you about your event. An inquiry does not sign you up for marketing emails or texts.

Job applications

When you apply on our Careers page, we collect your name, email, phone number, the position you're interested in, and, if you add them, your availability, a note about your experience and a link to your resume or profile. We don't collect file uploads. We save your application in our website database and email it to our team so we can review it and contact you.

Email and text sign-up

When you join our list, we collect your email address, your mobile number if you want texts, your first name if you add it, the topics you choose and the page you signed up on. Email and text permission are recorded separately, each with the date and time you gave it. For texts, we also keep a copy of the exact wording you agreed to. We use this to send the updates you asked for, through our marketing email and text provider.

Protecting the forms

To stop spam and abuse, our forms limit how many times they can be sent in a short period. To do that we use a scrambled, one-way code made from your internet (IP) address and a secret value. We never store your IP address itself.

Text messages

If you check the text option, you agree to receive occasional automated marketing and informational texts from Mera Restaurant at the number you give us.

• Message frequency varies.
• Message and data rates may apply.
• Reply STOP to opt out at any time, and HELP for help.
• Consent is not a condition of purchase.
• We never sell or share your mobile number, text opt-in data or consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing. We share it only with the provider that sends our texts, so it can deliver them for us.

Cookies and site analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use the site, for example which pages are visited most and how many guests tap Reserve. It doesn't receive anything you type into our forms, only that a form was sent. We don't use advertising cookies.

On your first visit, a small Your Privacy notice asks whether Mera may use optional cookies. Your browser remembers your answer in its local storage, so we don't ask again on other pages or later visits. If your browser blocks local storage, we keep your answer in a cookie that is deleted when you close your browser. Either way, it holds only your choice and the time you made it.

If you allow analytics, Google Analytics sets cookies that recognize repeat visits and collects details such as your device, browser, approximate location and the pages you view. If you reject analytics or haven't chosen yet, it sets no cookies and sends Google only basic, cookieless signals, such as that a page was viewed, which cannot recognize you on a later visit. Google's own privacy policy applies to what it receives. The marketing category covers tools that measure our ads; if we add one, it will only run if you allow marketing, and we'll update this policy first.

You can change your choice any time with Cookie Preferences at the bottom of every page.

The only other cookie we set is a sign-in cookie for Mera staff who use the private admin area. It keeps them signed in and isn't used on guests.

Who helps us run the site

A few companies handle information for us, only to provide their service:

• Cloudflare hosts the website and its database. Like any web host, it processes technical details such as IP addresses to deliver pages and protect the site.
• Resend delivers the emails that forms send to our team, and our email replies about event inquiries.
• GoHighLevel is our customer system. It holds sign-ups and event inquiries, and sends our marketing emails and texts only to people who signed up for them.

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it with anyone for their own marketing.

Other services we link to

Some things on this site are run by other companies. When you use them, their own privacy policies apply, not this one.

• Reservations open on OpenTable, and online orders on Uber Eats.
• The video at the top of the homepage plays from Vimeo. We ask Vimeo not to track viewers when it loads.
• Directions and our reviews open on Google Maps and Google, and our Yelp page on Yelp.
• Our social links go to Instagram, Facebook and TikTok.

How long we keep it

We keep information only as long as we need it for the reason you gave it to us: to plan your event, consider your application or send the updates you asked for, and for our normal business records. When we no longer need it, we delete it. If you opt out of emails or texts, we keep a record of that so we don't contact you again.

Your choices and requests

You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it or delete it. You can stop marketing emails with the unsubscribe link in any email, and texts by replying STOP. You can change your cookie choice any time with Cookie Preferences at the bottom of every page.

Keeping it safe

We use reasonable safeguards to protect what you send us. The site uses encrypted connections, and only the people who need it can sign in to see form submissions. No website is perfectly secure, so please don't send sensitive details such as payment card numbers through our forms.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has sent us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we'll update this page and the effective date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll make it clear on the site.
